Indomitus: Path of Ordeals changes
Since our official launch on June 30th, many players have enjoyed the game and shared invaluable feedback. I am deeply grateful for your continuous interest and support.
In this v1.0.1 update, I have focused on addressing the inconveniences reported by players, alongside implementing major balance adjustments and Quality of Life (QoL) improvements to enhance the game's strategic depth. Please check the detailed patch notes below.
Core Balance
Attack Card Mechanics Overhaul (True Damage Applied):
From now on, all Attack Cards will deal True Damage, completely ignoring the enemy monster's Defense stat.
- Developer's CommentWe received a lot of feedback that using Attack Cards felt inefficient due to the high Defense of enemy monsters, even when consuming Mana. We have completely reworked this balance so that Attack Cards can fully serve their intended purpose.
Boss Monster Knockback Resistance Adjustment:
Adjusted the knockback resistance stats for Boss monsters. (To ensure a stable combat experience, we will continue to monitor and adjust the balance in future updates.)
Updates & QoL
Enhanced UI & Interface Visibility
Combat Value Text Visualization: HP reductions from poison, bleed, debuffs, and card usage, as well as HP recovery from regeneration, traits, and buffs, will now immediately display as floating text around characters and monsters for intuitive tracking.
- Mana Crystal Gauge ImprovementThe gauge inside the Mana Crystal has been updated to recover 1 Mana every time it completes a full rotation. We refined the previously ambiguous visual to make it much easier to read the flow of battle.
- Gold Pouch UIIncreased the font size of the current gold amount on the Gold Pouch to improve readability.
Shop Convenience: When using the Card Removal service in the shop, the gold cost displayed below the button will now turn red if you do not have enough gold.
- Reward UIAdjusted the position of the reward acquisition UI to feel more natural.
Controls & System Adjustments
- Increased Scroll Wheel SpeedIncreased the mouse scroll wheel speed for the Trait list ScrollView on the Character Selection screen and the Achievement window ScrollView, allowing for much smoother navigation.
- Expand/Hide MapAdded an 'Expand/Hide Map' button so players can utilize more screen space during gameplay.
- Clarified Trait DescriptionsAdjusted certain trait texts on the Character Selection screen to be more intuitive. (Old: Increases initial Attack Power by 5 ➔ New: Increases character Attack Power by 5)
Combat Mechanics Modification
- Evasion & Thorns InteractionFixed the combat mechanics so that when an enemy attacks and the character successfully evades, Thorns damage is still properly applied to the attacking enemy.
Bug Fixes
- Thorns Resistance & Shield Bug FixFixed a bug where a character’s Shield would decrease when their Thorns Resistance was higher than the enemy monster's Thorns stat, despite taking no damage. Now, if your Thorns Resistance is higher, your Shield will not deplete.
- Final Act Boss Battle Bug FixFixed an issue where regular monsters would occasionally remain on the field even after defeating the final boss in the Final Act. Defeating the final boss will now instantly clear all surrounding enemies as well.
Even after release, I will always listen closely to our community to ensure Indomitus: Path of Ordeals continues to grow into a more polished and enjoyable experience. Please feel free to play the game and leave your valuable feedback at any time.
I hope this patch brings you a more exciting journey through the path of ordeals. Thank you!
