Reworked all hit animations.
Rewrote the bulk of the main animation-related code.
As a side effect, some animation locks related to getting hit have been changed. In general, it lasts a tiny bit longer now, due to it being tied to animation speed (affected by hitstop) vs unscaled game time. The overall duration has been adjusted to be similar to previous values.
Lots of changes and tweaks under the hood, the base movement should feel a lot smoother now.
Dialogue system has been reworked (for like, the 4th time?). I’m still in the middle of writing the story script alongside the new systems, so full story mode will have to wait.
Added some idle animations/taunts. You can trigger these by pressing the T key on the keyboard, or SELECT on Controller.
Reworked the old maid outfit. There's a special taunt you can do by holding back and pressing T.
Taunts
In general, taunts will do the following:
Increase damage taken and dealt (amount varies per character affected)
Resets or reduces certain action cooldowns, making bosses more aggressive overall.
Recovers stance and MP.
May have special additional effects, and can even serve as extra attacks.
There'll be more taunts in future, which you can unlock by progressing through the story or having it as part of the current costume. This also doubles as the idle animation system, so the same button can be used to trigger these even outside of combat.
