What changed

1 fix2 additions2 changes0 removals
  • Gameplay
  • UI and audio
changedMany of you who tested the early version described it as beautiful and emotional, and quite a few said it even moved you to tears. Hearing that and seeing how many actually liked the game really was the deciding factor for us in starting full-time development.
addedWhat’s new in this Version?Expanded Story: Dive a little deeper into Sonya's tale with quite a few added lines of dialogue and two new puzzles.
addedWhat’s new in this Version?2 New Puzzles: We tried to make them different from the ones we had. I think the visuals on origami are really nice, and it's fun that you can actually fold your own ones (please post pic if you do!), but I especially like that we made a new and different mechanic in the clock puzzle.
changedWhat’s new in this Version?Music & Sound Effects: The jam version reused all the audio, but for this one we brought in our audio producer, Alios, to completely revise all music and sound effects. I'm really happy about the results.
fixedWhat’s new in this Version?Better User Interface: We fixed some hitboxes, graphics, lighting and other stuff to give the right feedback and reactions from all interactions and make the experience as enjoyable and frustration-free as possible.

We are incredibly happy (and almost as nervous) to finally share the extended version of Ignore the Blackbird, our first-ever commercial release, with you.

What started as a game-jam project over just one intense week earlier this year is now extended and polished into something we feel is worthy to be the first installment of Sonya's story. Thanks so much to everyone who supported the project and gave tons of feedback on the free itch version.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Without your support, we wouldn't be here. By picking up the game today, you are directly helping us continue our journey, and the journey of Sonya and the blackbird.

Lastly, a small request: We had very little time (and no money) to do marketing for the game. Right now, I think a minimum of 10 user reviews is the most important next step to get the game shown to more people. Apparently, the Steam algorithm holds you back until you have that. So, if you are enjoying the game, please consider leaving a few words in a review. It makes a world of difference. Thank you ❤️
