addedHello! We're releasing version 1.30 today! It's a larger update focused on adding the new Sandbox Mode option to the game!
addedSandbox ModeAccessed from the main menu once Normal mode has been completed - Allows customization of various parts of the experience, for example you can: disable or add additional centipedes, adjust the movement speed and tweak the behavior of the centipede, adjust player damage and rope length - While in Sandbox Mode, the pause menu will display some additional information about the current settings and show some details like the collected/remaining embers and the number of times you've thrown the grapple hook - Can access a new difficulty level in Sandbox Mode: Unleashed difficulty with a much faster centipede and increased player damage - Important note: These settings can likely be configured in a way that can make the game impossible to win or cause performance issues on some systems!
changedSandbox ModeSandbox Settings Explained - Difficulty - You can choose preset difficulty settings in the upper left corner of the menu, changing any settings afterwards will switch to "Custom" - Centipedes - Unchecking this box will disable all centipedes in the level - Additional Centipedes - These will spawn periodically from the level spawn points, if there are multiple it will randomly choose which ones. - Movement speed (Close) - How fast the centipede moves when close to the player -Movement speed (Far) - How fast the centipede moves when far away from the player - Stamina Regen Rate - Centipede consumes stamina when trying to catch up to / eat the player. It moves slower when recharging this stamina allowing the player to get some breathing room after a close call. - Starts will full stamina - The centipede will begin moving at full speed - Can go after claw - Allows the centipede to unhook the player's grapple claw from a surface - Damage Taken - How much damage the player takes (100% is the default amount). - Rope Length - How long the player's rope is (100% is the default length (25 meters)).
addedOther AdditionsThe game can now accommodate other aspect ratios, including ultra-wide displays - New option: Uncapped framerate - disables the 120 fps limit
addedChangesAdded a continue option to more transition scenes
fixedFixesFixed issue that prevented achievements from triggering in macOS builds - Fixed issue that could prevent the achievement for completing Normal mode to trigger retroactively from a save file
