What changed

0 fixes6 additions2 changes1 removal
  • Gameplay
  • UI and audio
addedI've added the following:
changedThe view button when loading a finished level (through level select) takes you to a still playable, but not restarted version of the level, so you can search for the cats without resetting your progress
removedResetting a level no longer locks the one after it (the levels have memory now! no more simple logic for them!)
addedThe save system has had a minor update to account for this new tracked level state
addedAdded some highly requested changes to the level end screen (and a new achievement!)
changedThe object list has had a big overhaul! Previously, found objects would become inaccessable after discovery when they were struck off the list, but I've reworked this to keep the items (so you can still click and see what it was)

Hi All! I've been working on some quick fix patches for some of the early issues identified by players (thanks so much all for reporting issues and giving feedback!)

I've added the following:

  • The view button when loading a finished level (through level select) takes you to a still playable, but not restarted version of the level, so you can search for the cats without resetting your progress

  • Resetting a level no longer locks the one after it (the levels have memory now! no more simple logic for them!)

  • The save system has had a minor update to account for this new tracked level state

  • Dropped the levels on some of the music, and set the music level lower by default on the options

  • Added some highly requested changes to the level end screen (and a new achievement!)

And the big one:

  • The object list has had a big overhaul! Previously, found objects would become inaccessable after discovery when they were struck off the list, but I've reworked this to keep the items (so you can still click and see what it was)

  • This system uses scrolling to be able to see your whole list at once (no more waiting for stuff to delete before more comes in)

  • Key note! This new list system isn't super friendly with controllers yet, but I'm working on it! I'm hoping to have a contoller fix sorted in the next 7 days.

What I'm still working on:

  • There's still some unintentional "skip to the end" behaviour when loading an already played level (like if you reset only level 1 but had finished 2, and played 1 through and just hit next level at the end) and when hitting play on a 100% finished game (if you want to play it again, just hit new game lol, but I'm working on a play button fix)

  • The afformentioned controller fixes for the new list UI

Thanks all for sharing your feedback with me! And if you have more feedback please keep sending it through!

Cheers,

Rin.
