Hi everyone, We're back after a few weeks of silence, but don't worry! The team has been working hard to fine-tune, improve and add new content to the project, and we are thrilled to share the latest details with you.

addedWe're back after a few weeks of silence, but don't worry! The team has been working hard to fine-tune, improve and add new content to the project, and we are thrilled to share the latest details with you.
changedAs promised, here is the (late) Early Access roadmap as we envisioned it in May and have tweaked slightly since then.
fixedAs we are (naturally) unable to pin down fixed deadlines, we have called it 'the vague timeline'. This doesn’t mean we don’t intend to stick to it, but rather that announcing precise dates for each update might create unrealistic expectations. On the other hand, we sometimes make faster progress than anticipated on certain aspects, or create more than we originally imagined. In short, you get the general idea!
addedIMPORTANT NOTE: We decided to add the new written content only in english and french for the rest of the Early Access. We will obviously translate everything in the other languages for the final release, but have come to the conclusion that too many back-and-forth exchanges between us and the localization team at From the Void would cause more problems and would be very, very time-consuming for us. It would also inevitably cause a delay for each update and ultimately push back the final release by several months.

The first update on the list, available now:

OF THE DUAL TALE

  • A rework of certain areas, such as the city itself, to simplify navigation and make it more intuitive.

  • New lore elements scattered across the four corners of the world.

  • New paths leading deep beneath the world’s surface.

  • Various fixes for collisions, textures, holes in the map, and so on.

  • Minor changes to the tutorial.

THE BALANCE QUEEN.

A major update is coming soon, which will see the continuation of the adventure with a brand-new Enclave and all that this encompasses. Across the sea, the Queen’s shores await, and you will not be alone on this journey.

THE DREAMERS AND THE DEAD

This intermediary update will continue the quests of secondary characters, introduce new ones and refine everything that exists at this stage.

THE LAST MONARCH

This will open the path to the Enclave of the Last Monarch, foretold by the words of the Pale Faces and the prophecy of the noble Kuranes. Who knows what events this will precipitate.

CIRCULAR // CYCLES

Another intermediary update featuring finishing touches, scattered lore fragments and secret paths, designed to set the stage for the final chapter of this journey.

HYPNOS - THE MAZE CHRONICLES

This final update will mark the game’s full release. It will contain the final content segment, the alternative endings and all possible conclusions, to offer you the full picture of Choron’s journey through the Nameless City. It will certainly be available on the beta branch before release, but it will mark the end of Early Access and of this wild adventure alongside you.

There will be minor patches or hotfixes here and there, but these depend both on feedback and long-term development work and are therefore relatively unpredictable.

The life of any developer is made up of unexpected twists too. We try to be as methodical and organised as possible in our work, whilst still leaving, as the dear David Lynch used to say, room for daydreaming and improvisation.

More and more of you are joining us on Discord, discovering our community and our previous games, formulating impossible and glorious theories about the Chronicles of the Labyrinth, spreading the call of the Nameless City, and posting magnificent reviews here. We thank you for that.
