HYPERBEAT changes
Chance from the HYPERBEAT team here with a very exciting announcement - if you haven’t already seen, the Multiplayer Update was revealed and released during the “ Computer Worlds ” showcase with NoClip2 @ 1PM Eastern/10AM Pacific.
If you’re a new player, to access multiplayer, you must have the “Drip” and “Gemini” achievements and then the option will appear in the pause screen.
Here’s the highlights of what that means:
Multiplayer Functionality: HYPERBEAT now supports private and public play, with up to 250 concurrent players able to see eachother in the hub and in game.
Lobby Leaderboards: Per session leaderboards to compete against your friends or strangers.
- Five new songsMapped B-side tracks extend the playable chart count to 75, bringing the total gameplay songs to 25. These are available at the Green Aspect post credits. This also means there is now 125 total gems!
- New CosmeticsNew items have been added to the pink, silver, and gold tracks to unlock with a variety of new colors for underused shaders and patterns.
- JukeboxNew stereo in the Garden to select the music in the Wellspring hub. Make a playlist, or cycle your favorite songs to match your vibe.
- EmotesExpress yourself with a new emote menu and style options to change your default pose. Press the top face button on a controller or “E” on the keyboard to open the menu!
All fifteen new charts were mapped by the incredibly talented @ndrea_meda, rhythm game specialist and HB chart legend. Huge thank you to Andre for their hard work and dedication to bringing these songs to life, this update would not be possible without them!
There’s more on the horizon with HYPERBEAT, with our next major update focused on QoL improvements for charting. Join our Discord to stay in the know or to find others to hang out with in the Wellspring!
See you soon,
