This is another little developer update about the demo steam page and the development progress on the demo build!
๐ Demo Steam Page
The demo now has it's own steam page!
When the demo drops this Spring, you'll get an early glimpse of the folklore hunting, turn-based battles gameplay in a shortened experience through 2 hunt contracts.
Help shape the game as there will be a feedback survey and bug report links in the demo main menu screen to gather reviews and feedback from players as I continue building out the full game.
๐ป Demo Build Progress
Been busy tinkering away at the game to make it as ready as it can be for demo build playtesting!
Here are some development highlights below:
New Tutorial Levels - built new locations for guiding how to investigate/track trails, how turn-based combat with fear-stacking works, and how to complete a hunt contract for the first time experience
Discovering Investigation Sites - built decorated areas within the wilderness environment where the player uses their wolf sense to detect investigation sites to find clues that will help uncover the trail of the escaped folktale
New & Improved Party Upgrades - combat skills can be upgraded to add status effects to attacks, reduce cooldown time, add additional target tiles, or increase status effect potency
New Settings Menu - features accessibility options for text legibility changing the font style for readability and tooltip size for larger tooltip displays (also just for fun, there are little fluttering Wisps on the audio sliders)
Action Previews on Tooltips - get a preview of the combat action tiles on the tooltip display
More Game Audio - tons more creature combat SFX and music tracks being implemented
Save/Load system - auto-saves at specific checkpoints & can manually save from the pause menu

Since my last post, I'm hoping to get into one of those game event showcases to share new gameplay reveals of the mythical folklore beasts to battle in the game. Sadly the one the game was accepted into got cancelled (it was the best thematic one too!), but the show must go on as I still planned the Demo Launch to come this Spring 2026.
But for now, I'll leave you with a screenshot of the new & improved main menu screen.
