changedThe game has grown way beyond what I ever expected, and everyone who has purchased it has genuinely helped make one of my dreams come true. Seeing people play something I made has been unreal, and I’m extremely grateful for the support, feedback, bug reports, and patience so far.
changedAI AccusationsI’ve seen a handful of accusations that the game, especially the UI, was made using AI. I want to be very clear: that is not true.
changedAI AccusationsThe UI, code, art, and design were made by me. I have a background in web design and web development, which likely explains why the UI has the style it does. I completely understand why people are cautious about AI-generated games right now, but in this case, the accusation is false.
changedAI AccusationsI honestly thought the UI turned out pretty well, but I also know it can be improved, and I’ll continue improving it over time.
changedPerformance IssuesI’m aware that some players are having serious performance issues, and I’m actively working on fixing them.
changedPerformance IssuesI’m a solo developer, and this is my first game, so there are going to be bugs, edge cases, and performance problems I was not able to catch before launch. I don’t have a team of people testing the game across a wide variety of machines, so some issues only started showing up once the game reached a larger audience.

First off, thank you.

The game has grown way beyond what I ever expected, and everyone who has purchased it has genuinely helped make one of my dreams come true. Seeing people play something I made has been unreal, and I’m extremely grateful for the support, feedback, bug reports, and patience so far.

That said, there are a few important things I want to address.

AI Accusations

I’ve seen a handful of accusations that the game, especially the UI, was made using AI. I want to be very clear: that is not true.

The UI, code, art, and design were made by me. I have a background in web design and web development, which likely explains why the UI has the style it does. I completely understand why people are cautious about AI-generated games right now, but in this case, the accusation is false.

I honestly thought the UI turned out pretty well, but I also know it can be improved, and I’ll continue improving it over time.

Steam also requires developers to disclose AI-generated content during submission. This game was not submitted or flagged as an AI-generated game because it is not one.

Performance Issues

I’m aware that some players are having serious performance issues, and I’m actively working on fixing them.

I’m a solo developer, and this is my first game, so there are going to be bugs, edge cases, and performance problems I was not able to catch before launch. I don’t have a team of people testing the game across a wide variety of machines, so some issues only started showing up once the game reached a larger audience.

That is not the experience I want people to have.

Right now, it looks like the game may be putting excessive load on some users’ CPUs because it is failing to detect and use their dedicated GPU correctly. When that happens, the game may fall back to integrated graphics if available, which can cause unusually high CPU usage, poor performance, or high temperatures.

A hotfix for this is being worked on now. Thank you to everyone who has reported this issue and helped provide details.

Cheating, Exploits, and Bugs

There have also been multiple reports of cheating, leaderboard exploits, and other bugs.

I knew this was a possibility with a leaderboard system, but it’s still disappointing to see it happening this early. I’m looking into the best way to handle it without accidentally punishing legitimate players or rushing out a bad solution.

One possible option is preventing users with impossible hour counts or clearly exploited stats from submitting runs to the leaderboard, but that is only a thought at the moment. I want to be careful and make sure any solution is fair.

For now, please keep reporting bugs, exploits, and suspicious leaderboard behavior when you see it. It helps a lot.

Balancing

I’m also aware that some parts of the game are not balanced as well as they should be yet.

I did my best to balance the game before release, but now that a much larger number of people are playing, it is a lot easier to see where the pacing needs work. I’ll continue tweaking upgrades, progression, reset timing, and other balance-related systems over time to make the game feel smoother and more rewarding.

I’ve also seen feedback that collapse intervals can feel way too aggressive, especially early on. That is something I’m going to adjust so the early game has more breathing room and does not feel like it collapses too quickly.

Thank You

Thank you again to everyone playing, supporting the game, reporting issues, and giving feedback.

I’m one person, and this is my first release, but I care a lot about improving the game and making it better.
