Home Wars changes
Hoping you'll enjoy it, I'm sharing the news just released about my new co-op multiplayer FPS game "Home Wars: Battlefield" in development (ADD it to your WISHLIST):
"Hello, brothers!
No MEET today.
While I was testing the missile lock systems, I thought to myself, "Maybe my guys would like a nice gameplay screen!"
So I set about locking onto an enemy F14 with my F14's Sidewinders and taking a screenshot just when the lock was perfect... it wasn't easy :D
Then I thought I'd take this screenshot to show you some of the new UI, even though a lot is still missing and nothing is definitive.
Sorry for the photo quality, but when going from a resolution of 4k to 800x450 pixels, this stuff happens.
Meanwhile, when you're in a vehicle, you can see its outline and your current position on it (not entirely accurate here).
The dotted line represents the vehicle's health.
At the top, you can see how much ammo is in the magazine and how many magazines you have left, as well as whether your flares are ready or not.
To the right of the health bar, you can see the types of weapons your station allows you to use.
The icons under the ammunition outline give you a quick idea of what type of munition it is; for example, the missile I locked onto the enemy with is designed to lock onto flying units, has a lock system tied to the center of the crosshair, and uses a high-explosive warhead.
Like in Battlefield, positions are changed with F1, F2, etc., while weapons are changed with 1, 2, etc.
I'm working on various types of warheads:
High-explosive
Penetrating
Incendiary
Nerve Gas
White Phosphorus
Grapeshot
Smoke
EMP
9 Gravity (perhaps used by futuristic weapons)
Which one would you like to use?
If you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them!
Back to the screenshot.
My opponent was making evasive maneuvers to get behind me and fire, but by slowing down and making sharp turns, I managed to hold my ground.
After several seconds, I managed to get the target in the center of my sights. It began flashing and emitting the typical lock-on sound.
As soon as the sound became steady and the sights turned red, I didn't hesitate to fire!
The enemy plane was hit, but not downed!
It took another missile and a few 20mm rounds to see it fall into the depths of the sea.
No parachute.
Do you have any questions about the dynamics involved in this scenario?
I included the second image to give you an idea of what plane I'm talking about and what missiles it uses.
I included the third image again because it's cool and a tribute to the best movie ever!"
