Hello everyone \\o/ Ahead of Steam Next Fest we've dropped the new demo early; this demo includes the new origin follower, Fate's Beloved, and the wish mechanic!

Steam post image Thanks to everyone who played and tested them in the open playtest, your feedback really means a lot! Even though we didn't manage to implement all the suggestions for this update (especially quality of life suggestions like option to speed up transition or invert mouse control), we are working really hard to get them ready for the full release. Stay tuned!
The new content in the playtest build is now in the demo!
Added Origin Follower (used to be called "Faction") - Fate's Beloved. They'll show up in the first recruit event, and recruiting them as your first follower will as your first follower will replace all normal support followers with a new type of follower: Moth! 🦋
Added wish event - a strange machine that, seemingly, can let you wish for a perfect card...? You'll encounter this event in every run as long as you have more than 1 core health. 🎴

Updated Unity Editor to the latest version to avoid vulnerability CVE-2025-59489
Hunt events will now have a chance to provide multiple choices. The chance of this happening will scale with the number of hunt bosses you have already encountered
Added 1 new hollow follower & 1 new endless mode elite
Changed "a Camp Amidst a Ruin" event (unlock re-roll) to always show up between the first and second hunt, as long as you have killed the dragon once. Also lowered the trinket cost from 14 faith to 10.
Beekeeper's Bee is now 1/1 (was 1/2)
Hoarder is now 1/3 (was 1/2)
Hobgoblin now has 3 less health
Reliquary will now only unlock after killing the dragon once
The game will now remember your combat speed setting
Made some small adjustments to some early game card's spawn weighting
Witch's golem will now deal their attack damage (instead of 1 damage) to the witch on death
Witch in endless mode will no longer protect herself from random damage, and she will no longer protect adjacent enemies after death
False sun in endless mode will now scale their stats 90% slower
In Relic of the Visage, Dragon will now gain additional attack damage as its health get lower
Updated some graphic assets and portraits
Fixed followers with extremely high attack damage sometimes dealing 0 damage to free company palisade
Fixed re-rolling causing locked followers to gain stats in Relic of the Locked
