Hogtie changes
Yeehaw, art cowboys!
Today we’re pulling back the curtain on the world of Hogtie – from the cartoony visuals to the customizable cowboy gear, and how it all ties into the game’s feel.
The world of Hogtie is colorful, charming, and just a little bit silly – and that’s exactly how we wanted it. From the very start, we aimed for an art style that feels fun-first. That’s why we built our own cartoon shader and custom visual effects for liquids and rope physics.
The wild west usually comes with grit and dust. We gave it bright skies, cute pigs, and charming animations. We wanted players to feel relaxed while playing – even when the puzzles get tough. The tone is light, approachable, and filled with personality. Our horse winks. Our pigs react when you lasso them. And our cowboy? Fully customizable.
Yes, you can dress Ted up however you like. From classic cowboy to flamboyant leather daddy, Hogtie isn’t afraid to be a little weird and a lot of fun. And don’t worry – everything you interact with follows strict visual clarity rules: silhouettes are clean, colors are purposeful, and every interaction is animated to communicate feedback.
We made this world to be inviting. We hope you’ll love hanging out in it as much as we loved creating it!
