HistoriCity: Florence changes
Major Features:
Game opens with plague aftermath: rotting corpses, debris, derelict buildings and roads that can be restored in place or demolished for resources.
Relics: discover sacred artifacts that grant powerful blessings when enshrined in a church.
Masters: recruit exceptional individuals with unique abilities that activate when assigned to specific locations in your city.
Wonders: construct iconic landmarks that bestow extraordinary, city-wide benefits.
- Historipediaa new UI with ‘collectable’ cards to track your progress in unlocking Relics, Masters, Artworks, and Wonders.
Drought: periodic dry conditions leave the landscape cracked and dusty, slowing crop growth and reducing harvests.
Needs-based housing upgrades: homes now upgrade when all of their residents’ needs are satisfied, with increasingly diverse and complex requirements as they level up.
Death management: citizens leave a corpse when they die, which must be buried or it will rot, impacting pathfinding and employment.
More buildings and upgrades! Construct the new Pasture, Tailor, Graveyard, and Mass Grave, spend resources to enhance the look and efficiency of the Bakery, Winery, Olive Press, and Mine, and strive to reach a new level of Urban Apartment for your residents.
- Revamped pacing for less hectic and more thoughtful gameplayyears progress more slowly, immigration pauses when you run out of available housing, and crop growth is more closely tied to the progression of seasons.
