Hello everyone!

I’m the developer behind Static Frame Studios, and I’m thrilled to finally welcome you to the official Steam page for His Last Film. This project is a labor of love, born from a passion for analog horror and atmospheric storytelling.

To celebrate the page launch, I want to share a look at what’s been happening behind the scenes over the past week:

Devlog:

  • Object Inspection System: I’ve overhauled how you interact with the world. You can now rotate and examine key items in detail, uncovering hidden clues that are vital to piecing together Stan’s fragmented memories.

  • Cinematic Refinement: I’ve been working on the "in-engine" sequences to ensure a seamless transition between gameplay and narrative moments, maintaining the immersion of the VHS aesthetic.

  • Pacing & Tension: Several key scares and atmospheric sequences have been polished. I’m focusing on "slow-burn" dread—making sure the subway feels alive and watching you at all times.

  • Steam Next Fest Preparation: Work has officially begun on the Steam Next Fest demo! I'm carving out a specific slice of the game that showcases the core mechanics and the oppressive atmosphere of the station.

Thank you for your support. I’ll see you in the tunnels.
