Hello everyone!
A quick update on the ongoing work on the new Weapon/Tools System â and a reminder that the biggest HIRAETH sale in the gameâs history is about to end.
End of the Big -50% Sale
In just less than 10 hours from now, the discount on HIRAETH will expire. If youâve been thinking about jumping in, this is the last moment to take advantage of this rare opportunity.
view Thanks to the sale, many new players have joined â and what makes me especially happy is seeing several new Steam reviews coming in as well.
STATUS REVIEWS
Overall rating is still marked as Mixed (20 reviews), but the filtered view now shows Mostly Positive based on recent feedback. A new positive review has just been added and may not yet be included in the global count.
This means that recent players rate the game noticeably higher than those from the early builds â a clear sign that the latest updates are moving in the right direction. If you enjoy the direction HIRAETH is taking, adding a review now will help a lot. It directly supports stable and faster development of future updates â every new review makes a real difference. Letâs do this.
NEW Tool: Handheld Scanner Mk1
This is a completely new tool in HIRAETH. The presentation shows the simple, basic Mk1 version with the ability to scan certain objects.
About Scanner
Steam post image Donât let the apparent simplicity of the Mk1 Scanner fool you â it relies on quantum imaging and structural analysis to operate effectively.
The scanner is fully functional and ready for inâgame use. With the upcoming update, a dedicated workstation for operating it will appear in the Training Center.
In this version, the scanner highlights the currently scanned object, analyzes it, and generates a scan report. All of this already works, though I still need to add more report types and enable scanning for additional items.
Basic functions:
distance scanning â Mk1 works effectively from 1 to 3 meters
generates reports such as manuals, blueprints, composition, usefulness, or detailed descriptions â available after scanning in DATAVAULT/INSTRUCTIONS
powered by a standard universal battery
commonly found on Ahra Prime â a fairly standard field device
Upgrades for range, efficiency, and additional scanner types will be added later.
For the pistol shown in the video, scanning it will unlock repair and maintenance instructions.
Additionally, you will be able to scan damaged devices or their fragments to generate blueprints. In the future, scanners will gain more uses â for example, scanning anomalies. Mk1 is only the beginning, but it is fully functional and will likely become extremely useful, if not essential.
Changes to the Blueprint System
As you can see, the blueprint acquisition system is changing. Some blueprints will still be found as before, but many will now require scanning to obtain.
Examples of Other Upcoming Tools
Today, without revealing too many details, here are a few tools already created within this framework â they still require refinement, but they are coming:
Binoculars: A highâcontrast optical tool for longârange observation. Useful for scouting terrain, tracking movement, and identifying distant structures with clarity even in lowâvisibility conditions.
FieldâPrint Camera: A compact field camera essential for documentation, scouting, and recording structural or environmental details. Reliable in lowâlight conditions and practical for any task requiring clear visual records.
Power Drill: A handheld, batteryâpowered drill and driver used for quick repairs, mounting work, and opening light composite panels. Reliable in field conditions and essential whenever fast mechanical access is needed.
Spray Paint Can: A compact marking tool used for tagging positions, highlighting leaks, and quick manual labeling in the field. Reliable in low light, fast to apply, and visible on most surfaces.
Glowstick: A chemical light source used for marking paths, signaling, and lowâvisibility work. Reliable, waterproof, and longâlasting in any environment.
Weapons
Weapons are also in development. The familiar ones will return in improved form, and completely new ones are on the way.
New weapons
Energy weapons are planned. They may not both appear at once, but they are in production. MLD A9: MLD A9 â Magnetic Launch Device: A compact electromagnetic launcher designed for highâvelocity metal projectiles. Uses pulsed magnetic fields to accelerate small conductive cores without combustion or propellant. Reliable in harsh environments, easy to maintain, and valued for its precision and consistent output. Effective as a multiâpurpose field tool and a practical defensive option when conventional resources are limited.
The model is currently being refined
More DownâtoâEarth Additions
Items such as the Combat Knife and the universal Kunai Knife will join the melee weapon category â but not only that. At the start of the Weapon Framework Update presentation, I also plan to introduce a bow. Field research on Ahra Prime shows that it performs extremely well in the environment and will definitely add variety to gameplay.
When???
Weâre at the halfway point. All currently planned weapons are created and added, but they still require tuning and refinement. I expect to prepare a new presentation early next week, this time showcasing one of the new weapons. In the first half of May, a major update featuring Weapon Framework 26 will be released.
If you enjoy the direction this system is taking or have any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions â feel free to leave a comment. Your feedback helps shape the next steps of HIRAETH. Likes, shares, and reviews also go a long way in supporting the development.
Best regards,
PaweĆ
