HEXCRAWL: KEEPINGS
Early Access — Patch 0.9.26
Cities keep quiet rooms under the street — stone vaults whose doors turn like ship-wheels and whose bellies hold what you are unable or unwilling to carry. Pay the keepers enough gold and the ward stretches, another ring of empty cells for the filling. But the vault is not the only place that keeps. Sometimes, on a dark stretch of track, a hooded stranger parts a heavy robe. Inside that void, familiar things glitter gold and grim, treasures you swore you had left behind. Open the door if you must. Pay the dark traveler if you must. Every keeping has a cost.
In this patch: Upgradeable City Vaults (buy more space); improved bag/Vault UI (including a "Send to:" right-click option in inventory); Lost Items buyback (at Vaults and the roaming Void Scavenger).
Upgradeable City Vault: Pay gold from the Vault header to grow shared city storage by a full ring — 19 → 37 → 61 → 91 slots (200 / 600 / 1800).
Vault Fit All & List View: Zoom the whole hex cluster, or browse a scrollable list with Sort and Retrieve — the same tools Shops already had.
Filled bags in the Vault: Store backpacks, satchels, Bottomless Bags, and Portable Pits with their contents still inside; open them from the Vault. Ownership limits still count vaulted bags.
Lost Items: From the City Vault header, reclaim protected items you Dropped or left behind — buy-only shop at twice listed gold value.
Void Scavenger: A rare world encounter who opens that same Lost Items buyback when you are far from a city.
Send to: Right-click an item in the character sheet, Shop, or Vault and send it to a valid destination (Carried, Equipped when it can equip, open bags that can hold it, or Vault while open). Full destinations show in red and cannot be chosen.
Also in this build: Right-click Exit Delve on the entrance arch leaves immediately (Space / Enter / walk-on still ask, with Yes selected). Q / E tap attacks a hand; hold for on-use (e.g. staff heal). Restricted bags refuse wrong item types without jumping slots. Ownership wording says "own." Combat log quieter (no duplicate heal lines / Selected target spam). Shop quantity prompts match other dark shop panels; shop-stock right-click menus work again. Salvaging a unique no longer resurrects it in Lost Items. Buying and selling cheap stacks prices correctly per item. Space / Enter attacks your selected foe; enemy packing and reach checks are cleaner. Whetstones last for the next 10 hits. F5 quicksave works again while Settlement / Shop / Vault / Sheet is open.
