changedSo I'll give the short version of the update first, and then more detail below. As much as I wanted to launch Early Access (EA) before the end of 2015, it's still not ready yet. I'm happy with the things that are working, and the EA launch is definitely in sight, but I've decided to push it back, unofficially, until the summer. Officially, the EA release date is still "when it's ready." My continued thanks to everyone who has posted encouragement and support - I read every post and they all mean a lot to me. Detailed update below. My philosophy on EA can be found throughout the discussions, but in short - I don't intend to make EA a testing ground for a protoype, nor is it a pseudo-kickstarter to hopefully fund a game. My goal with EA is to present the various aspects of the game with final product functionality, and as part of the full game loop. That doesn't mean I won't make sharp pivots if something isn't working, nor does it mean everything will be totally polished. But it does mean that the player should be able to see where the fun lies in each phase of the game. I also want the initial release to instill confidence in everyone that I can do what I say I'm going to do. While the game right now is further along than many EA games I've played, it doesn't meet my criteria, hence the postponed release date. On top of the gameplay itself, there are a number of other aspects of the game that need work. The store page needs updated screens and videos, because the ones on there are outdated. Steam Trading Cards are another thing I need to put in the pipeline. Mod support and multiplayer are on the wishlist, so assuming things go smoothly (because they always do) I might have time to look at that before EA launch instead of after. Finally, if you haven't signed up for the newsletter on the main site , please do - starting in January I'll be randomly sending Steam keys to people signed up to help with testing and feedback. Thanks! Michael
