So the Game On Indie Contest Finals were last weekend, and....we didn't win. However, I feel no shame because Galaxy Games totally deserved it. That game is bursting with creativity and the mechanics are really intuitive and accessible. Massive props to Andres and Brenna! So the last couple of days I've made significant progress. The basic siege mechanic is working and I was able to run the level through almost to the end, which means Early Access is getting closer! Still no firm date yet, but I'm very optimistic I'll be willing to flip the EA switch before the end of the year. As I've said before, I want this vertical slice to give you all a good idea of where the fun lies in the game, and it's getting closer and closer. A few more units, a few more special abilities, some fine tuning of the numbers, and then some bug fixes and I think we'll be ready to go.
