changedFirst of all, we’d like to thank everyone for giving the Hellslinger demo a chance and supporting the project. Your feedback has helped us pinpoint the areas we want to focus on, and despite the long road ahead, things are looking bright.
addedWith this update, the demo is receiving an adjustment to the movement code aimed at addressing the “slippery” physics – gone are the days of platforming on ice, and we’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts! This is the only major change being updated or added to the demo for now, but we feel a significant enough one worthy of mention.
addedWith the dust settling we took a moment to reevaluate things, and reach a consensus on the path moving forward. Considerable work has already gone into re-balancing characters, refining combat, and filling out the enemy roster. During this time, our Sound Designer / Composer “Lean” found themselves needing to step away from the project for personal reasons, as well. They have left on great terms, and thankfully we have since welcomed Relentless Frontier’s lead developer “Korzodin” into the fold, who has gallantly taken on the new Sound Design position for Hellslinger. At this point, our team is laser focused on development of the full campaign.
addedThe demo won’t be forgotten about, but a new demo will likely replace the current one eventually, featuring the kind of combat, characters, level design, and story-telling we’re aiming for. Until then, we appreciate the continued love and support, and for now, we’re going to focus on simply making the best damn game that we can.
changedHere’s a tiny peak at Veronika absolutely wrecking shop with her Godhand & Dual Auto-Shotguns, as well as a glimpse at our third playable character.
