Hell Heroes changes
A smaller but important update this time, mostly focused on making the game feel smoother, clearer, and a bit less cursed in the wrong ways.
Most Important Changes
Improved death and respawn visuals with a new greyout/desaturation effect when the player dies.
Fixed a respawn issue where the player could briefly hover or get pushed upward during fade-in.
Fixed loading screen fade images so they now fill the screen properly without stretching or warping across different screen sizes.
Improved the loading screen scene with stronger contrast, more realistic lighting, better post-processing, and a new high-resolution screenshot workflow (foundations for future "loading screen hints").
Menu / Save Slot Prep
Updated the main menu returning-player panel so it now supports the new “Continue” / “Start New Game” flow, ready for future save slot support.
Visual Improvements
Added coloured penumbra shadow rendering support for softer, more stylised shadow edges.
Coming Bike Update
I’ve also been working on more props, ramps, and silly little physics playground bits for the upcoming bike update.
Expect more broken-world stunt objects like:
collapsed coach ramps dirt and rubble mounds palace stair wreckage village junk ramps swampy mud ramps saintly bike nonsense more rideable chaos in places that absolutely were not designed for bicycles
