HEART ABYSS changes
The HEART ABYSS team continues to work hard on the game, and in this post, we'll tell you about our recent achievements. By the way, we've already opened registration for the playtest! Join us!
And now, onto the recent happenings.
New Level Development Progress
Having finished the Imperial Capital level, which turned out to be as big as the rest of the game, we've moved on to Iwamoto Castle.
We're also working on the visuals for the Temple of Death. This is the third location, in case anyone forgot, that Leon reaches after escaping from the Mines.
The boss of the third level—the Demon of Death—is also getting its graphic realization. Here's a look at the work in progress. What do you think?
Overall, we've done a huge amount of work on level design and optimizing the development process.
Animation Polish
We continue to refine what's already been done, namely the animations.
We've added a damage animation for all enemies, which enhances the impact during combat. It might seem like a small thing, but trust us, during extended combat, it feels really good.
Here's another look at the animation for Leon's magical ability, Qi Gun which we wrote about in the previous post. Looks cool, right? Pew!
New Boss Illustrations
We've started drawing the boss introduction screens. The portraits are turning out absolutely gorgeous.
