addedNew Implementations -----------------------
addedAdded "Belltower", A massive structure to support a bell. You ring the bell by pulling (Right-click) the rope. The sound it makes varies with the metal used to build it.
addedAdded buildable chess pieces. The ability to build chess pieces is acquired by learning a new skill "Boardgames". Chess pieces are built from a new input type "Sculptable Material": wood, metal, clay, or stone. (Debated including snow, but decided against it for now.) If you use Wood Blocks for "Sculptable Material", it will present visually as the bark material of the wood type in question, whereas Boards will present as the pulp material. Moved the old curiosity "Tafl Board" in under the "Boardgames" skill. You can, of course, put hats on the chess pieces.
addedAdded "Poacher's Pouch", a "Creel" alternative for hunters. The "Poacher's Pouch" can hold: Raw hides, raw meat, bone, animal fat, intestines, entrails, and small animals/birds both dead and alive. Suggested, perhaps among other places, here .
addedAdded "Dumbledore", a friendly beetle which sometimes lands on its back, needing help to find even keel again.

We've been developing, and here's what's new.

New Implementations -----------------------

  • Added "Belltower", A massive structure to support a bell. You ring the bell by pulling (Right-click) the rope. The sound it makes varies with the metal used to build it.

  • Added buildable chess pieces.

    • The ability to build chess pieces is acquired by learning a new skill "Boardgames".

    • Chess pieces are built from a new input type "Sculptable Material": wood, metal, clay, or stone. (Debated including snow, but decided against it for now.)

    • If you use Wood Blocks for "Sculptable Material", it will present visually as the bark material of the wood type in question, whereas Boards will present as the pulp material.

    • Moved the old curiosity "Tafl Board" in under the "Boardgames" skill.

    • You can, of course, put hats on the chess pieces.

  • Added "Poacher's Pouch", a "Creel" alternative for hunters. The "Poacher's Pouch" can hold: Raw hides, raw meat, bone, animal fat, intestines, entrails, and small animals/birds both dead and alive. Suggested, perhaps among other places, here.

  • Added "Dumbledore", a friendly beetle which sometimes lands on its back, needing help to find even keel again.

  • Added "Driftwood Crown", crown, curiosity. Suggested here.

  • Added "Black Henbane", flower, curiosity. Grows in "Badlands".

  • Added "Raven Black", hair color. Suggested here.

  • Added "Mouflon Horn", finebone recieved (between 0-2) when butchering Mouflon Sheep.

  • Added "Cavecakes", hardtack bread made from "Cavedust".

  • (Re)Added "Glow of the Cavebulb", a buff recieved when eating most any food made from Cavebulbs. Makes you glow slightly for a spell.

Key Fixes -----------------------

  • Added a brief hourglass timer to the action of taking possession of "Study Desk"s, to prevent you from accidentallying your buddies' desks. Suggested here.

Small Fixes -----------------------

  • Redrew icons for "Driftkelp" and "Fairy Mushroom" in 4x resolution.

  • Made stackable: "Driftkelp". "Fairy Mushroom"

  • Fixed a bug by which "Lake Snail"s were accidentally no longer "Snail"s. (AKA: padding out the changelog by introducing dumb bugs and then fixing them.)

  • Improved the error messages when attempting to found a new village too close to, or on the land of, an already existing village, by presenting the blocking village's name, and by being hopefully a bit better worded.

As always, if you liked what we did here: Support the patch.

Today's Patch Item, for the fair price of $7, is the "Cocktail Hat".

$7

Perpetually tipsy in a daze of glitter and glitz, this hat is a jingling toast to life!

All Gold subscribers have been awarded the "Cocktail Hat", free of charge.

In the Pipe -----------------------

Enjoy!
