Hardship changes
New Models
I decided to buy some assets to bring the game visuals to where I wanted them, I believe in the short term this will save me a ton of time making assets in blender and allow me to spend more time on the systems at the core of the game rather than art, although maybe in the future I will have the time to create my own models and craft a visual look I am happy with.
Roads
I've implemented the first iteration of the road network, these roads are not only visual they boost movement speed and also offer the citizen a more performant path finding allowing the game to run faster and help citizens navigate the world with ease. Additionally there is only one road network system, meaning all roads will be connected and will function as the life line of the city.

Technology Tree
I have spent a great amount of time hand crafting a tech tree that is in depth and balanced. The categories of tech are:
Agriculture
Industry
Services
Knowledge
I believe these tech categories effectively cover all types of technologies in real life. Although this is the first iteration so do expect it to change over time as the game evolves. Tech points will be produced by universities worked by your citizen and will acculturate over time to be spent on tech you want to unlock.
Thankyou for reading!
I'll get the colors right one day!
