changedSo I've decided to make a quick patch that overhauls the game's Pause and Main Menus to look better and be more cohesive. Here's a change-log of all the changes I've made to these UI's to help make them better. I've also made texture/scaling changes to NPC's and items.

Pause Menu :

  • Added a title that displays "GAME PAUSED"

  • Renamed menu item "Return to Terror" to "Resume Game"

  • Re-Organized menu items

(Resume Game is at the top, Save Progress is above Load Progress, and finally, return to main menu is on the bottom.)

  • Replaced the Blood Splatter background with a simple color gradient.

  • All Menu buttons are on the side rather than smack-dab in the middle

OLD PAUSE MENU AND NEW PAUSE MENU COMPARED.

Main Menu :

  • Moved all menu elements to the side

  • Re-organized Menu elements.

  • Renamed Menu item "Quit to Desktop" to "Quit to Launcher" for transparency

  • Replaced the static backgrounds with dynamic ones dependent on which chapter was chosen. (Infestation and Multiplayer backgrounds are still static for the time being)

Both Main Menu and Pause Menu :

  • Added launcher UI sound effects, and slight click effects on the menu buttons to make the menu's acknowledge your presence more, rather than being simple static text.

OLD MAIN MENU AND NEW MAIN MENU COMPARED.

In-Game :

  • Replaced Note 2 in M3 of the Main Story to represent lore happenings

  • Removed an accidental Quick Load and Quick Save feature from the modes that don't naturally support saving, which would lead to extremely broken game-play

  • Fixed Pistol Ammo Boxes not having any textures in Cultist's Campaign in The Extraction.

  • Changed the Scope Overlay for the SR-7G Rifle

  • Replaced the texture of the SMG Ammo Boxes

  • Due to over-all performance, VR's Instant Action counterpart has had slight re-designs

  • Re-scaled NPC height to be more in-line with the player's

Launcher :

  • Fixed Central Launcher using incorrect font on some PC's.
