Allegory of Justice

This final boss has been completely revamped; now, every few turns, it will let you choose between two pacts.

Each pact is different: some take effect immediately, others over a few turns, or even until the next pact.

This reflects the boss’s nature a bit more – it’s fair: it’ll do something to you, but you decide, and it’s not all bad either.

Choice of Enemies

Now, the enemies that come at you via the skull are different.

Each skull will choose how many enemies to place (usually 1 to 4 cards); depending on how many it places and which turn it is, it’ll put out one type or another.

On turns of 10, it won’t place more than 2 cards costing 10; if there are already 2, it will place 2 or more enemies.

Special Chests

In 0.8.2, I added a Monster Chest.

You don’t need keys to open it, because once ‘opened’ it will try to attack you and will appear on the enemy side; you’ll have to defeat it to receive the reward.

The other chest is the Coin Chest; when you open it, 3 Golden Angelic Coins will appear. If you defeat them all, you’ll walk away with 15 coins!

Other Changes

The attack notification box (the notification that appears when you still have cards left to play) now has a new design. I’ve also added a new notification for the Active ability: whenever it recharges and there are enemies present, it will notify you that it is recharged.

I’ve expanded the tutorial; there’s now a short section explaining the different types of cards available.

Fixed Bugs (There are probably more)

  • Sometimes, the key lying on the table for free wasn’t visible

  • After Zeus died, the exclamation marks remained

  • Some translations weren’t appearing

  • When the game ended, the menu wasn’t displayed correctly

  • Sometimes there were more coins in the box than you actually had
