changedWe are starting to test sound effects when VFXs appear. Sometimes, it’s on point, sometimes it’s not. Imagine the crafting sound currently being a teleporter mixed with a health pick up and a loud tuning fork noise.🤪
addedIn addition, we are working on a brand-new trailer with all you need to know about the game and the wacky adventure that awaits.
addedAnother useful debug tool was the ability to delay/stop an enemy wave. This would help to get the perfect timing for enemies to spawn or just have the time to mess around with the blocks and make a giant structure. The God mode would allow all characters not to be hit or be the enemies’ target. An option to hide the user interface elements was also created. It’s nicer to record the game without all the icons floating around. The programmers developed a way as well to manage the emitter’s health (you know, the thing you’re supposed to protect). The final tool was a room where you could access all the characters and launch their animation separately. This room was very useful for close ups and specific animations. We even added a pick-any-color screen.
addedWe hope you’re as psyched as us for the new trailer!

We are starting to test sound effects when VFXs appear. Sometimes, it’s on point, sometimes it’s not. Imagine the crafting sound currently being a teleporter mixed with a health pick up and a loud tuning fork noise.🤪

In addition, we are working on a brand-new trailer with all you need to know about the game and the wacky adventure that awaits.

The devs had to help the trailer team by giving them tools for the game recordings. The first thing they needed was a free camera. It would be easier to move around the level. We then noticed that the level was missing something. The camera angle had always been a top-down view and therefore, we could see the environment had no sky.

Another useful debug tool was the ability to delay/stop an enemy wave. This would help to get the perfect timing for enemies to spawn or just have the time to mess around with the blocks and make a giant structure. The God mode would allow all characters not to be hit or be the enemies’ target. An option to hide the user interface elements was also created. We hope you’re as psyched as us for the new trailer!

Thanks for stacking with us — see you in the next devlog!
