Gravure Mode Release Date June 13th!

Happy Friday Everyone! I want to apologize for not being able to push an update or patch this weekend. I can only work on Hachishaku in the evenings and a little bit during lunch so things are a bit tight.

changedHappy Friday Everyone! I want to apologize for not being able to push an update or patch this weekend. I can only work on Hachishaku in the evenings and a little bit during lunch so things are a bit tight. I am working as hard and as fast as I can, I am even waiting until after gravure mode is out to play Elden Ring Nightreign, no down time until the work is done! That said, I really want gravure mode to feel like a proper expansion of content. So I added some extra gameplay elements that I had not originally planned along with some more QOL features. This is everything that is coming in the update and is currently being polished and tested out thoroughly: General Updates for both modes - You can now rotate Hachishaku in the costume shop and costume selection menus - You can also click on Hachishaku in the costume select menu for a special surprise! - 3 new achievements - improved AI - I tried to solve some problems like Hachishaku getting stuck sometimes, but have not had much luck with this. However, I was able to make this happen slightly less often! IF anyone has experience developing AI in Unreal Engine please reach out I would love to talk to you! Gravure mode - Lakeside Retreat map - This map is roughly 3/4 the size of the Naninani Mura map and features several points of interest for you and Hana-chan to enjoy together. - Gravure Chance spots - Hidden interactions where you must call Hachishaku over to start the interaction. When she arrives a cutscene begins where you can take photos that will save to your game's directory (wherever it is installed to)! These will be very high resolution photos too, so you can enjoy viewing them in the best quality! I've completed 3, the 4th is almost done, and the 5th is laid out and ready for lighting and polish. These are between 30 to 90 seconds each depending on the spot. I still need to come up with a hint for where the spots may be but I don't want it to be super obvious. I want you to consider special places that would be perfect for a gravure shoot. These spots have a ~3 minute cool down, so you can change costumes and do them again! I am trying to make time for a super secret 6th gravure spot but I can't be sure If I will be able to do it. I will try my best! - New lore and story to be discovered - Learn about Chado and Hana's life together and their wedding through the wedding photos that have gone missing. Hana scared the post man by accident when he was delivering the photos resulting in them blowing away. Find them all to get more money and see special illustrations. I am trying to make these a one time interaction so that when you find them they will display in Chado and Hana's house permanently. - Hachishaku's 5 missing hats - Along with the wedding photos being blown away you can also find Hana's hats throughout the map, find them to get more money! (IF I am able to complete everything in time early next week I would like to make these 5 new hats that the player can unlock instead. but I am not sure if I can manage it yet) - Hana posing - If you call Hana to any spot that isn't an Gravure spot or interaction she will do a random pose so that you can use the screenshot function with the Q or F12 keys. Upcoming content after Gravure Mode I am a bit tired so after gravure mode is out I will focus on bug fixes and adjustments, but I would like to take some time off to rest and relax a bit so that I can have a fresh mind and body for making more fun stuff! That said I have already started working on the promised additional costumes I won't be able to get into this update dude to time (though I will still try my hardest next week) Here are the things I will get in sometime soon, but I don't want to promise a date or timeframe yet. Maybe a few weeks later. - New costume models, i promised 2, but I think I can do more after I rest a bit! - Additional Hair Styles - Chado man - Pac man style mini game mode where Chado must avoid 4 different hachishaku's at one time. This will likely unlock a costume and money - Hachishaku Game - Darumasan ga Koronda style game to unlock costume and money - Day and night versions for the gravure mode map. (to direct the lighting and visuals best, I will let the player choose the time of day via an interaction instead of a dynamic day/night cycle) Again, I am very sorry for not being able to push any patch or update this weekend, but I think the wait will be worth it! With continued support I can add even more content to Hachishaku, and I already have some very fun ideas! In light of that, I also want to ask if I can get your opinion on starting a patreon. I am very bad at being active on social media stuff because I tend to just work and post things when it's done. But I've seen a lot of indie devs use this method to continue funding projects. Is it something any of you would be interesting in supporting in the future? Lastly, I have already decided on the waifu for the next game! Perhaps a secret tease will be added to story mode somewhere? Do your best to think of some of yoru favorite urban legends and female youkai from Japan to find the teaser! I will begin development of this game in Late July and Intend to release it just in time for Halloween. Thank you all for supporting Hachishaku!
