Hello Preppers!
Update 1.3.0 is here - and this one’s a big one!
We’ve overhauled the multiplayer flow, improved difficulty scaling, and added a pile of new toys to push your runs further than ever. Whether you play solo, duo, trio, or full squad, things should now feel smoother, fairer, and a whole lot wilder.
Let’s start with the biggest addition:
Trinkets
This update introduces 16 brand-new Trinkets to Guntouchables.
Trinkets are powerful pickups found during a run that significantly alter and enhance your playstyle.
Expect things like:
Elemental synergies
Bouncing bullets
Bile immunity
And more build-defining effects
But there’s a catch… You can only equip one Trinket at a time.
Switching means committing - so think twice before trading it out mid-run.
On top of that, Trinkets have their own progression system that carries between runs. The more you use a Trinket, the stronger it becomes. Over time, your favorites will truly start to shine.
We hope you’ll enjoy experimenting with them as much as we have.
Multiplayer, bots and joining
We’ve made significant improvements to multiplayer flexibility.
Bots are now optional and disabled by default
You can start an expedition solo in multiplayer and wait for others to join
Bots can be added and removed during a run
Hosts can toggle private/public during a run
Most importantly:
You can now join a running game all the way up to the final mission before the boss fight.
No more waiting around in the first level for friends. Jump in and get to work.
Balancing (2-3 Player Games)
We’ve taken a close look at balance for 2–3 player runs.
Previously, these squad sizes could hit some serious difficulty spikes compared to 4-player games. We’ve adjusted scaling and enemy tuning so the experience should now feel much closer in line, without losing the chaos.
Dynamic difficulty scaling
Since players can now join and leave all the way up to the boss level, difficulty scaling has been improved to adapt on the fly to the current number of players in the game.
