changedCurrent State of Development:We've finished production on the upcoming 'Summoner's Henge' deck expansion, and we're currently working full-time on more cards to make all existing expansion packs bigger and better. In the meantime, we'll continue with routine patches to address any optimization issues and fix bugs should they arise. Here's what to expect moving forward:
addedUpdate Overview:Along with adding completely new cards to every existing card pack, the update will introduce a new system for integrating even more variety within existing encounters as well.
addedUpdate Overview:Currently, all cards that are printed with a certain name will always play the same without variation. For example, if 'Lone Highwayman' is drawn at the 'Old Stone Bridge' in 'The Dying Forest', he will always look the same, always have the same abilities, and always have the same basic attributes (excluding attribute manipulation via match setup). Despite there being dozens of potential encounters that have numerous variations due to groups of unique cards being drawn into different battle formations which result in interesting gameplay opportunities, encounters like the one with 'Lone Highwayman' can inevitably become strategically predictable. To address this and maximize re-playability even further, the update will add a new method for keeping more specific encounters far more varied from match to match — Alternate Card Variants .
changedUpdate Overview:Seasoned adventurers should read all cards well, because familiar battles with old foes will now offer unprecedented variety! Many characters will now have the chance to possess a wide array of random magickal weapon enchantments, attack types, status immunities, and passive abilities that vary from their card's original version. And more than stats change; in keeping with the high artistic standard of Guardians of Greyrock, every alternate version features new artwork that highlights the differences from the original card!
addedIn Conclusion:We'll release more card previews and info leading to the update's release, so be sure to follow / wishlist to stay notified of future announcements. Current owners of DLC decks will automatically receive this game-enhancing content update for free when new cards are added to each deck!
