A new free update for Guardians Frontline is now officially live!

NEW: Drivable Mech Tech, Mech Stomp:

A new upgrade has been added to the Drivable Mech!

- Once researched, the mech will now deal damage by stomping over enemies as it moves.

NEW: Utility Belt Tech:

Introducing the Utility Belt, designed to hold Keys and Mind Grenades during your missions.

- The belt features 2 slots.

- Unlock the first slot by researching the first tech!

- Unlock the second slot with an additional research upgrade!

The belt allows for quick access without taking up weapon or gear slots.

NEW: Tag System

With this update, we’re introducing a brand-new Tag System to help players better identify and explore maps. Tags come in two types: player-selected and server-assigned.

Player-Selected Tags

These can be chosen by map makers when publishing their maps:

- Character: For creative maps featuring detailed sculptures or references to popular characters.

- 4 Players Map: Highlights maps designed specifically for 4 player teams.

- Beginner Map: Welcomes new players with friendly, accessible maps to help them learn and progress.

- Dark Content: Used to indicate maps that feature mature or sensitive themes so players can decide if it’s for them.

Server-Automated Tags

These are applied automatically based on map data:

- Classic: Given to older maps from 2021 and 2022 that haven’t been updated in a while, preserving their legacy.

- Extra Difficult: Based on win rate data, alerts players when a map presents an especially tough challenge. The win ratio must be lower than 25%.

In the search section you can also filter maps by tag.

NEW: Create/Join Game Info

You asked, we delivered! This update brings more transparency and useful information to both the Create Game and Join Game screens.

Map List Enhancements

Each map now displays its assigned tag, helping players quickly identify the content type. Additionally, a green checkmark icon will appear in the bottom-left corner of the map tile if you’ve already played it, this progress is tracked and saved per map.

Create Game Improvements

When selecting a map to host a game, you’ll now see extra information to help you decide: the average completion time, win ratio, tag, and whether you’ve already played that map.

Join Game Info Screen

Clicking on an open game now brings up a detailed preview showing the game mode, difficulty, win rate, planet, average game time (when available), current match time, number of players, list of player names, and tag. A green checkmark also appears if you’ve previously played that map.

These additions aim to improve your matchmaking experience and help you choose the right mission with the right crew!

Mind grenade Balance:

We've adjusted the Mind Grenade to better align with gameplay balance and reduce overuse in certain scenarios.

- Effect Duration Reduced:

- Base: 60 to 45 seconds

- Tech 1: 120 to 90 seconds

- Tech 2: 240 to 120 seconds

- If the target is already affected by a stun effect (e.g., from the AK2), the mind control duration is halved.

- Base build cost is now 500 crystals with a 30 second craft time.

- Players can hold a maximum of 2 grenades. A third cannot be crafted until at least one is used.

- Each grenade crafted increases the cost of the next by 50% of the base cost, up to a maximum of 1,500 crystals and 90 seconds.

- These rules apply per player, not globally.

NEW: Diamond Map Reward:
