Windows and Linux staging build has been updated to v0.0.572 with the following changes:

Gameplay

  • Removed player classes - all combat and crafting skills are available, and progressable independently.

  • Removed enemy levels - enemy difficulty is based on their combat abilities. Simply enemies will have a small number of attacks, harder enemies will use debuffs, stuns, bleeds, and bosses will introduce group mechanics and multiple targets. Enemies intended be engaged by groups have their HP pools scaled appropriately.

  • Trading - Players can swap items and gold via direct trade.

  • Better login screen experience - New server selection UI to simplify joining for new players.

  • Emotes - Waving, dance, cheer, clap, agree/nod, and disagree/shake head.

  • Underwater sound mix to make it sound like you're under water.

  • Tool-tip improvements for item enchants.

  • Split inventory stacks either removing a single item, or by splitting in half.

  • Health potions return a % of health instead of a fixed amount.

  • Some magic abilities use % of mana pool instead of fixed amount.

  • Some items now required combat abilities instead of a specific player level.

  • Additional Attenmoors zone work - extra fishing locations, mobs, and a block-out of the new mountain town.

  • Tutorial zone pond can now be fished.

  • New combat abilities are automatically added to action bar when available (can be toggled off).

  • Limit max ownership of certain items (e.g quest objective items), to prevent unnecessary inventory clutter.

  • Some buffs and debuffs can now persist through death.

  • Introduced Factions - a precursor for PvP.

Bug fixes

  • Cock and Bull pub fireplace can now be used for cooking.

  • Two-handed items are actually two-handed now, preventing wielding things in offhand.

  • Wolf animation was a bit squiffy.

  • Party member character nameplates now show correct colour when coming into range from far away.

  • Training dummy no longer retains a grudge, and will break combat stance after a shorter distance.

Performance and Technical

  • Updated Unity to 6.2.

  • Volumetric clouds package updated for Unity update.

  • Server side pathfinding library version update for general CPU usage reduction.
