- Save wipe due to major balancing changes
Regrettably, we had to do a save reset due to major changes to progression, balancing, and boss systems and saves.
This is not a regular thing by any means, and I will do my best to commit to something like this only when absolutely necessary and only while in early access.
- Guides/Popups
Added guide popups to help players figure out the game. made 3 separate close functions - 1. ok-closes for now but will show again on next gate. 2. hide this-closes this prompt permanently. 3. hide all-disables all guides.
NOTE- you can reenable again in settings.
NOTE - gameplay and menu disable are separate.
- Ping function
Added a ping function to multiplayer. press "P" to ping your current cursor location to all players in your match.
- Updated "DIG" animation
Made a new animation for "digging" in archeology mission.
- Dropships
Added a new (In development) feature, dropships. Only used in Archeology missions for now. dropships are used for digging and bringing things up to your ship. they are mostly an animation that isn't tied to real events, but they ARE a real stat that influences your reward count for digs completed.
- New Mission "Battlefield Salvage"
Created ne mission. Investigate wreckage zones, recover salvage, and extract. More to it, so go try it out!
- Perk system
For upgrading ships, now after the 10th upgrade, players get to choose 1 of 3 perks for a permanent boost to their ship in each upgrade category.
- Point Defense
Ships can have a PD with limited ammo and range. currently used for destroying deployed and undeployed Dnodes.
will be upgraded along with the weapon upgrade for the range and with the hull upgrade for the ammo.
- Dnode explosion falloff
Dnode explosions now have a damage falloff. Inside the center 20% of the radius deals 100% damage, and at the outer edge deals 25%.
Bug fixes
Ship balancing.
Reward balancing.
Save wipe reset.
Point blank shots didn't register and ghosted.
Archeology mission now has class based rewards.
Minicam logs and cargo hold overlap.
Ai optimization and dnode logic.
