Grand Cru: The Wine Maker -- v0.4.0 Update
Bonjour, winemakers!
Harvested But Stuck? -- Not Anymore.
Have you ever harvested your grapes, started winemaking, and then... couldn't advance the season? The game told you there were still unharvested plots when there clearly weren't? That wasn't your mistake -- it was ours.
Starting winemaking was resetting the harvested flag on your plots. You picked every grape, but the game thought you hadn't. You were trapped in fall with no way out.
Fixed. Harvest and winemaking now coexist peacefully.
To everyone affected by this bug — I sincerely apologize. If you refunded because of this, I completely understand, and I'm truly sorry. As a solo developer, my testing wasn't thorough enough. This will not happen again. If you're willing to give Grand Cru another chance, v0.4.0 is a much better experience.
New Features
Land Selling -- Sell owned plots during winter (1 AP). Sale price is 90% of market value. Vines and soil improvements are preserved for potential NPC buyers. Each season, there's a 30% chance an NPC purchases vacant land.
Equipment Preview Cards -- See what equipment does before you buy. Information is skill-gated: Lv1 shows narrative description, Lv2+ shows dead zone comparison bar, Lv3+ shows pillar impact arrows, Lv4 shows exact numbers. Cellar always shows full specs.
Harvest All -- Meteorology Lv2+ unlocks one-button harvest for all plots. Play the weather minigame once, and the result applies to every plot. Just 1 AP.
Blend Tutorial -- When two compatible wines are aging in your cellar, a monologue guides you to try blending for the first time.
NPC Land Purchases -- When you sell land, NPCs may buy it. Their purchases appear in gazette articles and the season summary.
Feedback Improvements
Slider Color Feedback (Vinification Lv2+) -- The slider thumb changes color based on proximity to the golden zone. Green = close, Yellow = getting there, Red = far off.
NPC Score Comparison -- After bottling, see how your wine compares to rival wineries. "This vintage surpassed Petit Domaine's best (72 pts)!"
Weakest Pillar Hint (Degustation Lv2+) -- After scoring, the game hints at your wine's weakest pillar with actionable advice.
Stainless Tank Icon -- The barrel selection now shows a proper stainless steel tank instead of a wine glass for the "No Oak" option.
Balance
Le Chai Discount Volume 2x -- 900-2700 bottles (was 450-1350). Late-game wholesale deals are now more meaningful.
Bug Fixes
- CRITICALSeason advance blocked after harvest -- Fixed winemaking resetting the harvested flag, causing the game to think plots were unharvested.
Golden zone consistency -- WineProfileCard now shows correct zone width per skill level (Lv3=+-15, Lv4=+-8).
Father's wine phantom bottle -- Tasting father's wine now correctly reduces the bottle count.
Blend display name -- Blended wines show proper names in Market, Negotiation, and Chef screens.
Dashboard harvest todo -- Uses parcelles (source of truth) instead of deprecated plots array.
Localization
- German Quality Pass -- Fixed 100+ termsunified "Ruf" (reputation), fixed typos (Rebalter->Rebenalter), corrected wine terms (Korkgeschmack, Cuvee, Destockeur).
French Quality Pass -- Unified tu/vous in tutorials (~20 keys), fixed "du Pere" article, corrected wine terms (Bloquee for MLF, feuillage for canopy).
Semillon description fix -- Removed incorrect "Burgundy-style" reference (EN+FR).
Terroir monologue 4-tier -- Lv2 terroir feedback expanded to 4 levels (excellent/good/average/bad) in all 11 languages.
