addedGONZO version 1.1.0 is out now, with a slew of bug-fixes, improved AI, reworked balance for difficulty where you want it and breathing room where you need it. We really appreciate everyone who supported the game early on and want to bring some polish to GONZO for players old and new.
changedWhile a large focus is on fixing bugs and improving the AI, we're very excited about the balance improvements as well. Our goal is to make Guards more intelligent and more formidable and encourage good stealth gameplay, while still giving you the option to run-and-gun when you want to. We've also reworked some of the patrols and scenarios to ensure you're never stuck in an unfair, unstealthable situation. Check out everything that changed below:
changedAI ImprovementsGuards will now fan-out and properly search for the player rather than randomly roam in radius
changedAI ImprovementsIncreased Guards' vertical field of view to address detection issues (stairs, hills, etc.)
changedAI ImprovementsIncreased Guards' corpse detection distance to address immersion-breaking "ignorance"
changedAI ImprovementsIncreased Guards' vision detection speed when player is very close -- making good stealth a higher priority but still allowing time to peek
