Before launch, we wanted to share what has changed since the demo and what you can expect from the full version.

What’s new in the full version?

4 stages in total

The full version includes 4 stages.

The first stage is based on the demo, while the next three stages bring bigger challenges and show much more of what Gold Up is really about.

Better tutorials and visual guidance

We added more detailed instructions and clearer visual guidance to help new players understand how to throw, catch, switch roles, and progress through the game.

Less frustrating chest recovery

Based on player feedback, we adjusted some parts of the game to make the challenge smoother.

For example, in areas like the bridge section and other risky parts, losing the chest will no longer always force players to go all the way back or climb down repeatedly to retrieve it.

Instead, the chest will return to a nearby position or a specific recovery point, so players can focus more on solving the obstacle itself rather than repeating the same recovery process too many times.

Easy and Hard difficulty modes

We added two difficulty modes: Easy and Hard.

Easy Mode is designed for players who want a smoother and more forgiving experience.

Hard Mode keeps the stronger challenge for players who want to compete, improve, and push their times.

To keep things fair, Easy Mode will not be eligible for the leaderboard.

Local split-screen co-op

In addition to online co-op, the full version also includes local split-screen co-op.

So if you want to play Gold Up at home with a friend, partner, sibling, or anyone brave enough to carry a treasure chest with you, you can.

More polish across the game

We also improved many parts of the game, including:

  • better lighting

  • improved performance

  • updated level visuals

  • a completely new UI

  • clearer feedback during gameplay

  • general balancing and polish

We’re really thankful to everyone who played the demo, shared feedback, posted clips, or tried to beat the leaderboard.

Gold Up launches on August 12, 2026.
