Gold Up changes
In just a few hours, Steam Next Fest begins, and we're excited to officially be part of it.
The last two weeks have been a memorable experience for us.
When we released the demo, we genuinely weren't sure how many teams would be able to reach the surface. During the first two days, nobody managed to complete the demo at all.
Eventually, the first team reached the end with a completion time of nearly 2 hours and 30 minutes, and we started wondering if Gold Up might simply be too difficult.
Then something unexpected happened.
Players began improving their coordination, and pushing each other to go faster. What started as a struggle to reach the finish line quickly turned into a race for world records.
Today, more than 30 teams have completed the demo, and some of the fastest teams have achieved times we never imagined would be possible.
Before a new wave of players joins the challenge, we'd like to recognize the current Top 5 teams:
🥇 Thilo + YoshiXo — 07:20 🥈 Xoyl + Pepperoni — 09:34 🥉 Mr. Geil + Adholf.67 — 11:55 4️⃣ Naydra + Tripl — 18:08 5️⃣ 𝕷𝖊𝖔𝖓 + Can — 26:39
To give everyone a fresh start for Steam Next Fest, the leaderboard will be completely reset before the festival begins.
We're excited to see what happens next.
Good luck to everyone joining us during Steam Next Fest, and thank you for being part of Gold Up's journey so far.
