In today's Dev Diary, we're happy to share a first in-depth look of the redesigned HUD. It will share relevant and up to date information about the current status of your country. We'll discuss the general design approach and go into detail about each section. As one of the most visible parts of the UI, it is important that the HUD both looks good and is easy to interact with.

Salutations industrialists! I'm Marc, a Producer working on Gilded Destiny.
In today's dev diary we're going to talk a bit about the HUD, or heads up display, in the game. It's the bar at the top of the screen that will give you relevant and up to date information about the game. We will discuss the general design approach and what main each element represents. As one of the most visible parts of the UI, it is important that the HUD both looks good and is easy to interact with.
Without further ado, let's dive in.
In designing the HUD, we wanted it to function more like a dashboard rather than a simple resource bar. Its primary purpose is to give you context about what is happening in your country, informing you on decisions that you, as a player, can make or will need to make. Each section of the HUD displays information about a specific, core aspect of gameplay, corresponding to the tabs in the left
