Reworked Team System (Up to 8 Players)

The AI is no longer limited to fighting only against the player.

  • Fully customizable team setups

  • Players and AI can now fight together or against each other

  • Supports up to 8 players per match

Each player uses a unique color:

  • 8 distinct colors

  • Each color can only be used once

Visual Improvements

The game world has received several visual upgrades:

  • Grass added

    • Reacts to wind

    • Leaves trails when hit by lightning spells

  • Visual Ghoul progression

    • Ghouls now visually evolve as they level up

  • Building ownership colors

    • All captured buildings now change color

  • Improved building destruction

    • Buildings now physically break apart into fragments once destroyed

    • Replaces the old simple explosion effect

  • Main Menu polish

    • All Ghouls now have a second idle animation

AI Improvements

Enemy AI has been significantly improved:

  • Collects mana

  • Actively casts spells

  • Better decision-making overall

Combat is now noticeably more challenging.

Balancing Changes

  • Weapons degrade more slowly

  • Ranged attacks reworked

  • Ghouls can now perform critical hits

  • Critical hit chance can be influenced via the faith skill

  • Love spell now heals the players' Ghouls if they are not at full HP

  • Tutorial pacing improved

Quality-of-Life & UI

  • Tips are now shorter and clearer

  • Correct key bindings are shown in tips and tutorials

  • Clear feedback is shown when building is not possible, including the reason

Bug Fixes

  • Over 200 bugs fixed

  • Many internal and systemic issues addressed. A full list would be too long to include here.

Multiplayer & Full Release Outlook

Earlier in development, we believed multiplayer would not be possible for this project due to technical limitations. We have since found a viable solution and confirmed that it can be implemented.

  • Multiplayer is planned for the full release

  • This is the last Early Access content update

  • Upcoming updates will focus on bug fixes and stability only

The full release will introduce:

  • Multiplayer

  • Campagne mode

Aside from these additions, the game is considered feature-complete.
