Ghost Battalion changes
It has been a long while since the last update. Long days and hours across many months have been spent on improving and ultimately delivering the most impactful update yet!
Numerous gameplay features have been added, and bugs and crash‑causing issues that hindered gameplay have been resolved, delivering noticeable improvements players will immediately appreciate.
added new weapons and animations to the Mantis creature that can now be controlled as an Alien class in Multiplayer
swimming sounds and animations have been added and buoyancy physics have been fixed
added full support for ladders
capture points icons have been added - their purpose is to give a visual feedback to the player on the status of each capture point
Icons for bots and players have been added on top of their avatar so that it is easier to distinguish between teammates and enemies.
added help images that will display the default controls for an object that is currently being controlled - Help can be accessed by pressing H on the keyboard or BACK on gamepad.
a new popup UI has been added, allowing players to rebind keyboard keys to their preference
players can now choose in the Options menu whether they want to play the game in 1st, 3rd, or Shoulder camera view by default
partial Gamepad support has been added. It works well, but is still WIP. Best experience is still by playing the game with a mouse and keyboard. Gamepad buttons cannot be rebound, but what each button does can be seen in the above mentioned Help or Options menu.
a warning system has been added to the Client's HUD when targeted by enemy vehicles or have rockets or missiles fired upon them
the reticle for players and vehicles now has special animations and sounds when an enemy is within their target
Gold, Silver, Bronze or no medal is awarded at the end of each Single-player or Multiplayer mission
best achieved medal and points are now visible when previewing each Single-player mission
all points and medals are now stored by user name
major bugs that caused crashes in Multiplayer have now been fixed
... and many more. These are just a few of the implementations in this new version of the game. There are many other smaller features and bug fixes that will be immediately noticeable to veteran players of this game.
Take advantage of this Early Access build before it goes full price on launch in mid to late January, 2026. Pick it up and share your thoughts!
