addedThis major update adds a new unique gem, the Onyx. Thematically you are in a swamp setting, collecting herbs and gathering ingredients to grind up in your mortar and pestle. The gameplay of this gem revolves around getting rewards for discarding cards. Sokras knows how to use Onyx properly and the gem will be unlocked in solo play after you win a small number of games. Have fun exploring the Onyx swamp and may the gems favor you.
addedContentAdded a brand new gem type from the paper version of Gemwielders, Onyx. This gem revolves around discard mechanics: Many cards reward the player when being discarded while others create effects from discarding cards.
changedContentRenamed the “Skola”-button to “Play Solo”. This is to avoid confusion and to communicate better that the game can be enjoyed as a single-player experience.
fixedBug FixesFixed life syncing in online multiplayer. This should prevent a rare bug where the game would result in a win for one player but the other would be on 1 life and think their opponent has disconnected.

Sokras

  • When Sokras gets to pick a card to be discarded, their choice is more refined.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed life syncing in online multiplayer. This should prevent a rare bug where the game would result in a win for one player but the other would be on 1 life and think their opponent has disconnected.

  • I addressed a bug where Sokras duplicated Intuition on certain occasions.

  • You are no longer able to cancel out of Ancient Recipe after having seen the top three cards of the gem card deck. You either pick a card or click “skip” to tuck all of them away.

  • Tome’s shuffle ability is usable with 1 power when there’s Battery on it.

  • The Source counter also includes cards that are tucked away on Secret Stash.

Polish

  • Increased the duration that error messages are displayed to make them easier to read.

  • Moved the selection arrows in the main menu slightly outwards to prevent accidentally clicking the character model.

Tweaks

  • Changed the card text on Mechanical Bird so it states clearly that it only targets other modifications. While using it on itself would work technically and is a fun and creative way to trigger the Fungus/Dark Pact combination, this occurs extremely rarely and does not make much sense thematically. Mechanical Bird is a friendly helper in your workshop, always fetching you just the tool you need in any given situation.
