Gemlands changes
Welcome back, adventurers!
Many of you may know I took the game off of Steam stores in 2022 due to inability to optimize the original game.
I am happy to announce that I have rebuilt the game from the ground up, and the game is now MUCH more optimized, especially the CPU usage (old game would stick at 100%, new version does not surpass 7-9% in my testing).
I have also slightly expanded most areas in the game and slightly rearranged gem locations and whatnot. There's a bunch of other tiny changes as well such as:
New lighting
Things in the world auto-updating when you load a save with progress already such as bridges extending themselves and elevators turning on
More dialogue to some NPCs [you can talk to the final boss after beating her and reloading game]
New options added such as sensitivity sliders.
Bugfixes
In addition, I have removed the feather jump and tweaked the game experience to not require a 3rd jump anywhere, so it will feel like a more consistent platforming experience (and you can no longer skip sections!)
If you already own the game, start a new save file and visit the Gemlands once more!
