Introducing the first-ever "The Annual Big Comprehensive Holiday Update." We're starting off relatively small this year, but we hope to make this a big thing for Gatlin' in the future once/if we pick up more of a community.

Highlights:

  • OST is finally here! Thank DJIVVI (aka Cadence Hira) for joining Gatlin' as the composer! Some levels still have placeholder music, but over time we plan on covering all the bases!

Changes:

  • We heard you. We get it. The annoying music system was too annoying. Music now continues playing where it left off after death.

  • Suction projectile speed has been increased from 35 units to 45 units

  • There is now a friend in Level One

  • The lobby has been modified to add the entrance to Credits

  • The bridge now actually has pieces fall in the starting cutscene

  • The tutorial has been modified to ensure the restart hint consistently appears

  • Liquid (ink, water, lava) hitboxes have been made more precise

  • Rock clattering sounds are no longer global, they are now affected by distance

  • Antique marching sounds are no longer global, they are now affected by distance

  • David now has a dialog cue to indicate that enemies take varying damage from different ammo types

  • Apprencii's arena no longer has walls at the edge of the island

  • The Beholder now flashes red when you shoot it

  • The Beholder now shoots a tear each time it takes damage after its first phase

Fixes:

  • In-game wall hints have been remade with a higher resolution

  • Explosives no longer trigger the fuse noise more than once when activated

  • The restart hint now consistently drops in the tutorial

  • The main story continue system now only saves levels from the main story

  • Enemies that are vulnerable to spikes no longer die from touching the side of spikes

  • Enemies that are vulnerable to boulders now die from moving boulders

  • Scribbles no longer visually overlap the map

  • Scribbles now properly find the player in small rooms and hallways

  • The Protector no longer uses its stardust ability during its first phase

  • Blot will no longer awkwardly float dead on Apprencii's water

  • The frame hitbox (aka the border) in boss fights has been made more accurate
