addedHello everyone, welcome to Devlog vol. 2 for Garden of Wandering Souls. In this article, we will discuss some of the development progress of our games, including a new stage, Steam Page Improvement, and an event we attended last month, the G2G Fest.
changedNew StageThe Garden is a vast landscape with various terrains, a place for souls waiting for their next phase of the afterlife. In the last couple of months, in the promotional screenshots and videos, we only show the first stage of the game, one of the garden biome, a mostly greyish dark gloomy place to show the loneliness of the afterlife.
addedNew StageAfter a couple of iterations, we are ready to introduce a new biome that acts as the second stage of GWS. Welcome to the desert area of the garden, a dry, hot, and harsh land where some souls end up lost. In this area, we’re changing the visuals and adding difficulty by adding new types of souls, bosses, various new towers, and new mechanics to make the game more fun and challenging!
addedSteam Page ImprovementsIf you read this, you probably will notice, that our Steam page has already changed. Our key art and capsule now emphasize more gameplay to show Steam users the core of our gameplay rather than cryptic artwork from before. Also, we added title art and gifs to the description! What do you guys think about the new look?
changedG2G FestMany people queued and tried our demo, it was a blast! We’re happy a lot of people can finally try (modified version of) our game. Yes, due to the limitation of offline events (queue and time), we modified the game to accommodate more general visitors by reducing the waves and difficulty. Because of this event, we’re able to notice so many player's behaviors in real-time, which help us not to improve the game blindly. Thank you to all gamers who try our games at G2G!
changedG2G FestLastly, we want to thank YOU for reading this devlog! Wish us luck so we can develop a game that can exceed your expectations! Stay tuned for more news!

G2G Fest
Last month, we attended and opened a demo booth at Gamers to Gamers Festival Chapter 3 in Jakarta. Gamers to Gamers Fest is the biggest gamer festival in Indonesia, managed by The Lazy Monday, Indonesia Gaming Media, and friends of Arsanesia. It is the second time we have showcased Garden of Wandering Souls at an offline expo; this time, it is the most crowded.
