Gangs Of Asia changes
Today’s the day, Gangs of Asia is officially out in Early Access on Steam.
It’s been a long road getting here, and we’re incredibly excited (and a little bit nervous) to finally put the game in your hands. What started as an idea-mixing fast, skill-based combat with real-time strategy chaos has grown into something that constantly surprises even us. And now it’s your turn to jump in and break it in ways we never expected.
Thank You
Before anything else, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the game so far-whether by wishlisting, playtesting, sharing feedback, or just spreading the word.
Every bit of input has helped shape what Gangs of Asia is today, and it will continue to shape what it becomes over the course of Early Access. This is just the beginning, and having players actively involved in that journey makes a massive difference.
What Is Gangs of Asia?
For those jumping in fresh, Gangs of Asia is a fast-paced hybrid where you fight and command at the same time.
You control a powerful gang leader directly in combat, landing hits, dodging, using abilities, while also capturing buildings, managing resources, and deploying units across the map. It’s a constant push and pull between micro-level action and macro-level decisions, where things can go from under control to completely out of hand in seconds.
And yes, that’s very much by design.
Early Access - What It Means
Gangs of Asia launches today in Early Access, which means the game is already fully playable, but still evolving.
You can expect:
Ongoing balance changes and tuning
New content, including characters, maps, and gameplay improvements
Iteration based directly on player feedback
General polish, fixes, and performance improvements
Early Access allows us to build the game together with the community, adjusting systems, refining mechanics, and expanding the experience in the right direction.
The Editor
We are excited to share that we are shipping the game with the very same editor our team used to build the game! Whether you are looking to tweak existing layouts or build entirely new environments from scratch, the tools are now in your hands.
📚 Documentation Status: Coming Soon!
Please note that while the editor is fully accessible right now, it is currently undocumented.
We want to make sure you have the best experience possible, so we are actively putting together documentation, and we will have starter guides and tooltips ready for you very soon. In the meantime, the editor is open for you to experiment with, break, and explore!
🌍 Steam Workshop Integration
You don't have to build alone! We are fully supporting the Workshop so that the community can share, rate, and play each other's custom maps.
Share Your Creations: Publish your completed maps directly to the Workshop.
