Galactic Vault changes
Today we are incredibly excited to bring you our first major update! We’ve been listening closely to your feedback, and v1.1.0 is packed to the brim with new content, difficulty overhauls, balance changes, and much-requested quality-of-life features.
👤 Meet the Roster: 5 Playable Characters
This update brings a total of 5 playable characters! Each character comes equipped with their own base stats, a unique passive ability, and 4 unlockable perks.
Perks are gained by leveling up your character, much like with the guns, and will provide powerful additional bonuses to help you survive the vaults!
Note: Each character also comes with cool custom arms! 😉
🗺️ Two New Rooms

🔥 Pushing the Limits: Insane & Impossible Vaults
We saw a problem with our difficulty scaling and have decided to add not 1, but 2 EXTRA difficulty levels: Insane & Impossible Vaults.
- Starter, Normal & Secure VaultsReduced difficulty jump between them, secure is slightly easier as before. Ensuring smooth progression for everyone!
Insane Vaults: A bit harder than our original Secure Vaults, with some extra threats.
Impossible Vaults: The absolute real deal. 20 rooms, extremely difficult, multiple bosses.
🕹️ Demo Update
The demo is now updated to the release version, with all the fixes, optimizations, QOL and visual improvements we’ve been doing up until now for Galactic Vault!
🎮 Gamepad / Steam Deck
We've done a full pass over the gamepad controls & menu navigation and our Steam Deck verification is ongoing. (Note: The game does already play very well on steam-deck!)
Fixed a bunch of menu navigation issues with controller
Fixed game not pausing when controller disconnects
Fixed some missing glyphs
Fixed some text being too small on Steam Deck
Added 'hold stick' to navigate through menus
Added glyphs to some menus
Added Gamepad vibration strength option

⚖️ Balance Pass
We’ve rolled out a massive balance pass across a variety of upgrades! Below you will find all the tweaks & changes.
Charms
- Greed CharmIncreased credit gain from 15% -> 20%.
- Vengeance ProtocolIncreased damage gained per instance of damage taken from 5% -> 10% (Max damage cap remains at 80%).
- Ordnance CacheIncreased grenade drop chance from 15% -> 20%, and added +1 to Max Grenades.
Flying Tiger: Now grants an additional +5% damage bonus.
Magazines
- Smash & GrabIncreased ammo restored on melee kills from 15% -> 25%.
- Slide LoaderIncreased ammo restored per second while sliding from 15% -> 25%.
- Double MagReduced the reload speed penalty from 20% -> 5%.
- Defense ReloadIncreased movement speed bonus from 15% -> 20%, and increased damage reduction from 50% -> 75%.
Muzzles
- BayonetIncreased melee damage bonus from 30% -> 40%, and increased melee range bonus from 15% -> 30%.
- Temporal ChamberDecreased bullet slow effect from 60% -> 50%, but increased damage bonus from 45% -> 50%.
- Salvage StrikeIncreased melee lifesteal from 3% -> 6%.
- DislocatorIncreased bonus damage from 40% -> 50%.
- Drunkard's BarrelIncreased bonus damage from 40% -> 50%.
- Bayonet BlasterBase damage multiplier increased from 2x (Double) -> 3x (Triple), and explosion radius increased by 1m.
Scopes
- Spray 'n' PrayIncreased fire rate bonus from 35% -> 40%, and reduced the movement spread penalty from 25% -> 10%.
- RangerIncreased flat damage per meter from 0.05 -> 0.25.
- Short RangeIncreased short-range damage bonus from 40% -> 60%.
- Vertical StabilityIncreased recoil reduction from 15% -> 25%.
Cold Aim: Now adds +100 damage to cold bullets.
- Health ExtractorIncreased health drop chance per headshot from 0.5% -> 2%. Reduced the number of headshots required to reach the maximum value from 20 -> 10.
- Stand My GroundIncreased shield regeneration per second from 2 -> 4.
Mechanisms
- Light CoreRemoved the damage penalty completely. Increased movement speed bonus from 5% -> 10%, but slightly reduced the fire rate bonus from 30% -> 25%.
- CounterweightRemoved the melee speed penalty completely.
- BlitzIncreased movement speed bonus while shooting from 12% -> 20%.
- Focus FireIncreased spread reduction from 80% -> 85%, and maximum reduction is now reached in 1 second (down from 1.5 seconds).
Surge Core: Weapon slow-down delay extended; weapons now start slowing down after 1.5 seconds (up from 1 second).
- Momentum DriveBuff duration increased to 2 seconds, and it can now stack up to 5 times.
- Charging ChamberIncreased damage bonus massively from 150% -> 400%.
- Elemental CoreIncreased Elemental Intensity and Buildup from 30% -> 60%.
- Better BurstIncreased bonus damage on burst bullets from 25% -> 50%.
Bullets
- IceAdded a new +15% bonus damage effect.
- Status IntensityIncreased elemental intensity bonus from 30% -> 75%.
- Elemental BuildupIncreased elemental buildup speed from 30% -> 100%.
Items
- Phantom RoundsIncreased extra pierces from 2 -> 3.
- Reflective ShellsIncreased extra bounces from 2 -> 3.
- Blast RadiusIncreased explosion radius bonus from +0.4m -> +1.0m.
- Vampiric EfficiencyReworked scaling. No longer grants a flat +1%, but instead provides a massive 50% efficiency increase based on your current lifesteal value.
🛠️ Other Changes
Tweaks & Gameplay Changes:
Improved some Russian translations
New Seeking Icon
Tweaked melee hitbox
Slightly reduced chance for special and rare upgrades
Increased Tech Component cost of T1 guns by 1, and T2 guns by 2 (you also earn tech-components faster, so time-to-unlock is about the same)
Slightly lowered environment barrels explosion radius
Increased size of key hint on Ability HUD
Tweaked boss health-trailing speed
Limit maximum elemental effect stacks to enemies
Slightly reduced Brutus leap fire area radius
Higher rooms have a slight bias to spawn stronger enemies now
Tweaked boss rage scaling
Tweaked some hitboxes
Slightly nerfed Lyra
Nerfed A.R.G.U.S.
Buffed WYR-MECHA
Reworked weapon blueprint drops, now small chance to get T1 on normal failure and T2 on secure failure, secure now always gives a random T2 drop on success (instead of only giving the T2 of the weapon category you played with)

Fixes:
Fixed some text clipping on different aspect ratios
Fixed purple particle in stomps
Fixed bosses not doing their abilities for a while
Fixed T2 fire effect applying too many stacks on fast-firing enemies
Fixed heat-based weapons not applying ‘first bullet / after reload’ effects when cooling automatically
Fixed reload stuck on heat-based weapons due to slide
Fixed Electric jolts not giving elemental lifesteal
Fixed some non-stackable upgrades to appear after already having one
Fixed a bunch of inconsistencies
Fixed Lyra / Nyra not hitting you with sword dash
Fixed weapons having missing ammo in HUB
Note: We’ve added a temporary workaround for an engine-side shader pre-compiling bug. You might experience minor stuttering during your first session until the engine issue is resolved.
