I should probably start by addressing the Sole Survivor mode I previously announced.

Originally, this mode was conceived as a concept where you defeat an endless wave of enemies to gather experience points and grow.

Most of the feature development is now complete, but during the process of testing actual gameplay and balance, we encountered two difficult problems that are hard to resolve.

  1. Due to the limitations of the TPS genre, deploying too many enemies at once made the difficulty excessively high. After reducing enemy numbers, the progression lacked the expected intensity.

  2. Conversely, late-game battles were overly chaotic to handle without respite, making the continuous combat unsustainable.

It felt ambiguous to keep developing this mode indefinitely without a clear end in sight, so I changed plans and decided to prioritize creating a Defense Mode that better fits the actual game flow.

The working title for the Defense mode is Outpost Defense. The objective is to eliminate waves of enemies arriving in rounds and defend the excavator from space pirates attempting to destroy the base.

In Outpost Defense Mode, new game rules and new enemies will appear!

I'll continue to consistently share our development direction and thought process going forward.

Thank you.
