Repeated intro
Hello everyone,
What changed
- Gameplay
- Balance
- Performance
- Maps
- UI and audio
This is the first hotfix patch after the Early Access launch.
This update focuses on several urgent issues identified after release:
severe framerate drops in Frontline 3, to the point where progression could become very difficult or nearly unplayable
overlap issues and excessive balance problems with the 222 unit (recon armored car)
the current fuel system not adding enough meaningful gameplay value and instead creating unnecessary friction
This hotfix is a first round of improvements aimed at reducing those problems and making the current build more stable and playable.
Main changes
first-pass optimization for the severe performance drops in Frontline 3
first-pass balance adjustments for the 222 recon armored car
reduced unfair overlap behavior involving the 222 unit
reduced the 222 unit’s excessive combat pressure and overall overpowered state
temporary removal of the fuel system
About the fuel system
The fuel system has been temporarily removed for now.
At this stage, it is not adding enough meaningful gameplay value and is instead creating unnecessary friction in the overall flow of the game.
However, this does not necessarily mean it is gone permanently. If a future map structure or gameplay direction gives the fuel system a clearer and more meaningful role, it may return later in a revised form.
About the next update
The next update is currently planned as Version 0.1.2 next week.
The current target timing is Monday, April 27, but this may change at any time depending on development and testing.
For Version 0.1.2, I am currently considering larger gameplay and structure changes, including:
a major UI overhaul
removing manual aiming and shifting the overall control flow toward full auto-aim
significantly reducing map size
I am also considering a development rhythm centered around Monday patches each week, though this is still subject to change.
Thank you again for all the feedback, support, and patience.
More improvements are in progress.
