addedHi everyone! We are happy to announce that we have wrapped up the work on the installer and we'll be ready in a few days (or even hours) for the demo release. We tested it as much as we could on our side, however, we'd like to have some of the public have a go at it before we release it to the world - just to shake out any problems we haven't anticipated on our end. With that in mind, and if you'd like to help us with this, please send a request to support@terrabuilder.com with a subject line "FSX SpacePort Demo pre-release beta test". We will e-mail you a private link where you'll be able to download the FSX SpacePort demo. The only pre-requisite is that you have FSX:(Plain, Gold, or Acceleration) or FSX:Steam Edition installed and working. Also, we tested extensively on a CLEAN FSX install, so if you have a lot of third party add-ons and content, there may potentially be problems. It is obviously impossible to test with every permutation of add ons there are out there, so we'd like to hear from you if there are any problems with other DLC or add ons you may have. Also, please note that, if you request to be a pre-beta tester:
addedwe will send you the download link for the demo when it is ready . There is no need to ask us subsequently for it - you will be added to our list and rest assured, demo link will be sent to you.

Also, please note that, if you request to be a pre-beta tester:

  • the installer transfers files, makes registry changes and inserts entries and edits to a few configuration files. This is what every installer does, and you should be ok with that - please read and agree with EULA.

  • we will send you the download link for the demo when it is ready. There is no need to ask us subsequently for it - you will be added to our list and rest assured, demo link will be sent to you.

  • if any problems should arise, you agree to promptly communicate with us the nature of the problem, and relay content of any error message the installer may display.

  • if any problems are reported to us, we may ask you to take some simple remedial steps on your end. You should be familiar on how to search for and edit configuration text files.

  • if you own a Prepar3D (P3D) version and would still like to test FSX SpacePort Demo, please let us know. We haven't tested on P3D at all (we don't own a copy), but we don't see a reason why it wouldn't be compatible. We will, however, need info on where P3D stores files (support file locations) and a few registry entry values, so you should be fairly technically apt and prepared to provide us with this info.

That's all for now - see you soon in virtual orbit! Mitch
