It's getting cold outside

Dear Explorer,

one year ago we started an Expedition which will finally become the coldest day of the year. With Frozen Below: Arctic Expedition we are preparing our first steps into the horror genre and invite all players to explore the arctic deadly environment and what is deep under the ice.

But I am sure you want to know a bit more about it, so let's dive deeper.

What is the story of Frozen Below: Arctic Expedition? Of course we don't to spoiler to much of it, but it seems you start unplanned as survivor of a crashed airplane. And luckily some snow camp is close by, but something seems odd ... the less you know, the better for yourself!

What are the key features of the game? It will be mainly a horror escape game, where you need to pass some puzzles and find the right way to escape, what is hopefully harder then you think, especially without compass, map or way points ... but that's not all what makes it hard to survive, one of the deadliest enemies will be the frozen temperature, which could kill you pretty fast if you don't pay attention to it ... maybe even something else lures into the frozen darkness.

Other then that, the player needs a good sense of exploration skills, pathfinding and platforming to stay alive. Use some additional tools to make it a bit easier, but be aware that they not rescue you from everything.

What is the estimated playtime right now? At this point we aim about two to three hours for the first final chapter, but it depends a bit on how much the community is willing to help us grow it.

When will early access start? We plan to make the first few minutes playable in Q1 2024 and hope people will stick with us to see what is coming next.

So what is the status of the game? We are quite far and started building certain areas to a more complex scenario, extend some environment and do popper adjustments of different features. To say it in numbers ... - Level design = 80% - Features = 90% - AI = 60% - Story = 60%

When will you release the full game? We plan on doing a full fledged gold release this October. Quite in Time for halloween and the upcoming winter time.
