addedHere is what’s new in The Biting Cold Update:
changed📜 The Village Ledger (Action Results) You are no longer gambling in the dark. We have introduced a brand-new "Village Ledger" interface. Every action you take, every piece of wood chopped, and every log burned is now meticulously recorded line by line. You will now clearly see exactly what resources were gained, what was lost, and how your choices impacted the morale of your people each day.
changed🌡️ Room Temperature & Dynamic Wood Consumption The heating mechanics are now fully active! As the freezing cold outside drops day by day, you must manually adjust the stove's Wood Use Level . The indoor Room Temperature is now dynamically calculated based on the outside weather, your shelter's insulation, and the wood you burn. You must find the cruel balance between saving your precious wood reserves and protecting your people from sickness.

Survivors of the Frost,

Thank you for playing the Frostveil demo during Steam Next Fest, streaming the game, and sending us your invaluable feedback. As a two-man indie team, we read every single comment and watch your playthroughs closely.

While we are thrilled that you love the chilling atmosphere of 1920s Anatolia, it became clear that our survival mechanics needed to bite harder and be far more transparent. Today, we are deploying a massive update that completely transforms how you manage your village and shows you the true weight of your decisions.

Here is what’s new in The Biting Cold Update:

📜 The Village Ledger (Action Results) You are no longer gambling in the dark. We have introduced a brand-new "Village Ledger" interface. Every action you take, every piece of wood chopped, and every log burned is now meticulously recorded line by line. You will now clearly see exactly what resources were gained, what was lost, and how your choices impacted the morale of your people each day.

🌡️ Room Temperature & Dynamic Wood Consumption The heating mechanics are now fully active! As the freezing cold outside drops day by day, you must manually adjust the stove's Wood Use Level. The indoor Room Temperature is now dynamically calculated based on the outside weather, your shelter's insulation, and the wood you burn. You must find the cruel balance between saving your precious wood reserves and protecting your people from sickness.

🛠️ Bug Fixes & QoL Improvements

  • Ledger WipesFixed a bug where daily logs overlapped and didn't clear at the end of the day. The ledger now starts fresh every morning.
  • Instant UI FeedbackFixed an issue where dropdown menu (ComboBox) selections didn't instantly update the UI stats.
  • Resource Glitches Squashed: Cleaned up mathematical bugs causing random resource spikes or drops (no more sudden infinite food!).

  • Increased Difficulty: The overall difficulty has been cranked up. Surviving the winter is now a true, grueling test of leadership.

The fate of the village is in your hands. Stoke the fire, balance the ledgers, and try not to freeze. If you appreciate the hard work we are putting into this project and enjoy the struggle, please remember to hit that Wishlist button. It is the single most powerful way to support us.

Stay warm, Doruk & Erman Utku
